About Petty Butter and its founder

My name Itunuoluwa Ebijimi (aka Petty aka The Wife of Wrath). I’m an interdisciplinary artist, performer, event coordinator, and shea butter entrepreneur based in Chicago. I created Petty Butter in 2016 when I  returned to Chicago after an extended trip to Lagos, Nigeria, where my family is originally from. I was inspired after watching women at markets sell shea butter and blacksoap. The shea nut has been cultivated in  West, Central, and East Africa since at least 100 AD. Shea Butter is a not only used to moisturize the families, it is also a means for these families to raise funds, nourish, house, and educate themselves. Petty Butter has not only been a similiar tool of survival for me, but a confidence booster and a first-hand education in business. Petty Butter has select range of body and face products products made with Grade A unrefined shea butter, carrier oils, and essential oils combined together. My body mix, face mix, hair mix, and lip balm recipes have been researched and perfected by myself over years. They are guaranteeind to melt right into one's skin, unlocking a special glow from within. My goal is to eliminate ashiness and instill self-preservation in each jar.
